Hello, America: Stadt Land Mama Is Now Unfiltered Moms

Hi, friends! After almost 14 years of STADT LAND MAMA, we still come up with new ideas now and then, and this time we thought: Why shouldn't people who don't speak German get to benefit from all these great insights, stories, and interviews, too? So far, none of our books has been translated into another language, so why not start with our blog?! And ta-daaaaa, here we proudly present our new English-language site, for which we chose the glorious name UNFILTERED MOMS.

STADT LAND MAMA turns UNFILTERED MOMS

You can now share almost all of our newer content with relatives or faraway friends anywhere in the world. Because let's be honest: kids hit the teen years everywhere, and parents everywhere wonder how to handle it when suddenly everything changes. Maybe, wherever you live, it's interesting to read our warm, engaged German perspective on raising kids and everything that has to do with family. When it comes to rare illnesses, in particular, it can be wonderful to have a text available in English, too, so you can see whether there are similarities or what ideas for improvement might be possible.

We're still at the very beginning. There are no social media accounts for Unfiltered Moms yet, and we're only just about to add buttons under our German articles that let you switch to the English version, because even here in Germany, plenty of parents would probably rather read our pieces in English.

Looking beyond your own backyard, as you all know, can feel so good. And we want to make that possible for even more people, grow our reach, and offer even more relief and even more "oh, that's me!" moments. And yes, families aren't exactly the number-one target group for advertisers right now. Everyone is watching their money in a time when everything is getting more expensive and wages aren't rising (or are even falling, which a lot of self-employed people are experiencing right now). And precisely in times like these, we thought: Let's put some money on the table and invest again. Because standing still is not an option for us!

We believe in this site, and we believe in this content. We keep getting such lovely feedback from you… that we're part of your daily morning routine, for example. And you keep writing wonderful pieces for us or giving us the most interesting interviews on every facet of parenthood. There are only two of us, so we can't produce much more than we already do, but we can make our content available to a wider audience. Make it more accessible. Look even further beyond our own backyard. That's what we're doing with our new site.

Of course, we've been planning French and Spanish translations for a while, too, but first we want to see how the English site gets off the ground. Please give us your feedback: how you like the design, the name, how it feels to read the articles in another language. And please also let us know if any little errors have slipped into the AI-assisted translations or if any content shows up twice. We'd love to hear from you. Because we like to keep thinking ahead. And because all of this should go on for a very, very long time…
